We rarely need to sedate a child for dental treatment!
While it is sometimes necessary to have to sedate a child for dental treatment, at Smile Pop, it is a true rarity! In Dr. Meaghan’s hands, the percentage of patients for which it becomes necessary to sedate for dental treatment is well below the national standard among pediatric dentists.
Dr. Meaghan completes only a handful of sedations each year. She credits this entirely to the philosophy under which she practices…and also to all the awesome parents who trust her and her team and their unique approach to build trust in a gentle and encouraging way.
Many times, this approach requires complimentary extra appointments, extra time, and extra patience. But when we succeed - we are reminded of its worth, and we all feel like a million bucks!
